What People's Say About Place

I visited with a group of 3, and we really enjoyed everything! We each got a regular sized bowl with different vegan proteins and veggies, the sauces are all great and work really well with the different roasted and pickled vegetables. We also got the fried dumplings with Sichuan chili oil which was an amazing appetizer. We also got to talk with John who was super friendly and shared with us some of the philosophy behind Pow Pow. I visit often with my friends, but we wanted to leave a review for the amazing service and consistently great food!

Such a great place! The food, the vibe, and the service were terrific! The menu has so many options too! Our large party was easily accommodated and the attention given to us was much appreciated. We were able to accommodate all tastes and preferences in our party (savory, sweet, meaty, green). I recommend anyone to come and visit POW POW if you like flavorful and beautifully prepared food.

The absolute best vegan cuisine I've ever tasted. The food was flavorful and rich. Great food and great service!

Food is consistently good, the bubbie's pop-up has some of my fave menu items. Most recently the chicken sammich w/ the asian mustard, SLAPS! Paired w/ the trolley fries, absolutely yummy! One of my fave spots where takeout is just as good as dining in, b/c they package w/ care.

My wife and I visited for Bubbie’s / Pow Pow Diner Style weekend brunches at our Pow Pow H street location. We met and talked to the chef. She jave had a great cooking journey and experience. The food was great. While I’m not vegetarian but my wife. I had the sunrise breakfast, you can’t tell me they weren’t real eggs and sausage. But it wasn’t it tasted great. I highly recommend vegan and none vegetarian to visit and try it. You will love it.

I had a great experience at Pow Pow on H Street! The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The food was delicious across the board — everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. You can really feel the care they put into both the service and the food. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

Absolute gem of a plant based restaurant. the firecracker Cauliflower is buffalo cauliflower but well dressed and crispy. the ginger wonton soup isn’t anything to write home about but has a solid base. Their rice mix with wild and quinoa is SO good. the chick’n is definitely crispy but not my favorite. For food and options it gets 5 stars but the tables are not set up well at all. I don’t know who designed them but they are an awkward height and strange trapezoid shape. The digital menu tablet that you order from is also super different from the one on the displayed menu.

RUN don’t WALK TO POW POW AND BUBBIES POP UP!!!!! Just eat the bubbies pop up. Please get the CRUNCH WRAP….get the PISTACHIO PANCAKES…..get the chikn and waffles !!!!
